Time Out For 3 Weeks *)

Noordereiland, Rotterdam, Netherlands

It's time to hold my horses in Blog- and Flickrland and concentrate on the making of a film I promised to a good friend months ago.

It's a fact of my life that I have no options but going full throttle or not at all. One might say it's one of my 9 weird points.
Sorry for this, I'll miss you all too!

*) Note:
...or as much longer as necessary or as much shorter as possible (that's the wording of our government when announcing public works).

Best of luck in this endeavour. We shall miss you - but I understand how blogging can take up much time that should be dedicated to more important life's projects. Keep healthy, happy and enjoy the holidays!

Groet, Johan H.
Sorry, folks, this time in Dutch.

Great to have a comment in my mother's tongue!
't Is niet het einde van mijn blog, Johan, slechts een tijdelijke noodstop.
Ik stel voor dat je morgen nog even komt kijken en vooral luisteren want ik wil Het Beste Kersliedje ooit (the best Christmas song ever) embedden en dat heb ik bijna voormekaar.
Dank voor een heel groot compliment.

Hi Koos, if you go to my profile, you can see the Power Chords blog, it is where I post lyrics I'm working on and mp3's. Doreen is on there. Hope you like it.

That was an intriguing Christmas song. Thanks.

Koos, Have fun with your project! I know what you mean about focusing on one thing in order to give it your best.

Thanks for the Google links. I'll have fun with those later - doing a little world travelling!

Later,
Rache

PS: I really like the Christmas song. It's very different from anything I've heard before.

See you soon. Safe travels in the world of movie making. My favourite christmas song is The Fairytale of New York.

Merry Christmas, Koos, and thank you for your kind words of support in 2006.
-Paul.

Have a fun time with the movie, Koos. You're always missed but it's important to be create and have fun projects.

As for the Who, yeah, if you can, catch them again.

Hi Koos,
So worst case you will be back next year!!!
Merry Christmas and an Happy New Year for you, Val and Cindy.
Hope to hear from you before though.
Erik-Jan.

Hi Paul

I am not really blogging, as you know, but your comment on Fay Lovsky (aka Lovesick) said: "My favourite christmas song is The Fairytale of New York. "
Was new to me and I made a mental note to go and find out.
Just a moment ago I went to see what my "another brilliant Canadian", known from my personal links, had to say this time.

Well, you see it coming. He writes: "Funny the things that choke people up. For George HW Bush, it's apparently Jeb (though more likely, for the curse-word his family name has become). For me, it's this song. And if it gets to you, too, you may know that December 18 will mark the sixth anniversary of Kirsty MacColl's death."
You've guessed it: "this song" is A Fairytale Of New York...

And the Pogues, or Kirsty McColl for that matter, were almost as unknown to me as Fay Lovsky must have been to you.

And then for all who followed the remarks about Windows and Mac, here is the word I have to type by way of word verification right now: eymac
(Val's my witness).
Works right away, don't have to type a different word just to make sure.

Ahvarahn said...

Yes Koos, that is the one, and it does get to me too. That is an interesting site link too. I think I will keep an eye on that one.

Coincidences. Eh? There were a lot of them here at home yesterday. I'll not air that stuff, as everyone has enough on their own plate to deal with, but one thing I notice is that life is some sort of symphony; everything is related.

My very best to you and Val. (now take your blogging sabbatical and I’ll see you in 2007!).

The Christmas song is beautiful!

Are three weeks up yet?

Koos F said...

Oh that's such a sweet thing to say, Dale. (Swallows with difficulty).
I'll let you in on a big secret.
You can download the Christmas song, Fay Lovsky's Christmas was a friend of mine.
It's 4.4MB and you just do the right mouse click save target as - trick.
Don't tell the others, o.k.?

PS
And I am sure she developed the opening animation on
her Official Site especially with you in mind, Dale. As you've said before: things are meant to be - and apparently this song was meant for you.

Dale said...

Koos I can't download it, but I got a real kick out of the animation!

Thanks!
