The River, Sindy and the Cooling Tower

As promised a pic of the river in Rotterdam, taken just over an hour ago.
Two stunningly beautiful bridges connect the riversides. However, someone forgot to turn on the light that normally does them justice. But then what's left is still pretty fascinating, methinks.

At last I managed to get the dog Sindy to pose for me. She stood there for more than a second like frozen. Or did she dislike the frozen water? That would explain the worried look upon her face. She definitely broke the ice there.

Here's a new link to the cooling tower movie, QuickTime 7 needed (http://www.apple.com/quicktime). By request it now comes with a dedicated piece of background music.
Warning, this is not the dreamy music we all surely had in mind.
Strange thing is, the file size is now down to only 700 Kb, including sound.
Here's the Windows Media version (5Mb)

Koos,
I really like the two photos. The dog is quite majestic, I think.

Hi Koos,

Thanks for your comments on my blog. Oh no - I can hear the music on your video but I can't see the video! It must require a plug in I dont have or something. :(

Sindy looks like a doll! She does have a rather shocked look on her face - maybe she wasn't expecting her feet to get wet. Or maybe she is thinking of the camera like a typical dog: "What's that odd thing he's pointing at me? Is it food? Does it have anything to do with food? I wonder if it smells like food?" :)

Hi Mary Beth
I should have said: QuickTime 7 needed.
However, the Windows Media version now also has a soundtrack, so that should cover the options.

Very empathic your interpretation of the doggy thoughts.
Sindy thinks all the things you mention plus one: is he going to drive off without me????
Love
Koos

Hi Koos,

Thanks - I can see it now! Nice touch - the music is very majestic, just like the tower. :)

Strange thoughts animals have - our cats have the same weird thoughts. When we leave the house for any reason, they think "Well, that's it - they're finally abandoning us..." and when they have to get in the carrier and then the car to go to the vet, I see the "Well, they're finally giving us away..." look in their eyes! Sometimes I wish they spoke English so I could reassure them. :)

Awww, poor Sindy... no wonder she's always hogging the space in front of the fire :)

Koos,
very nice tower, reminds me of the KPN building by the Maas, with the green lights,
